Ready To Sing

Congradulations on being in the musical!

To maintain control over your voice, you have to DEVELOP techniques that will allow you to control your sound.

Breathing exercise

Sustaining your notes and fading them out exercises

Pitch exercises

Note flexibility exercises

Range & Note Placement exercises.

Dont worry it is not that difficult to find, as long as you know what you are looking for (List above)

There are many singing help resources for exercises CDs/DVDS etc.

Find something you like and practice it everyday and you will develop more control over your voice.

The other answers were great as far as memorizing lines.

Make sure you know the script/story not just your lines, this helps you to remember what your lines are.
